Hamstring injury - and when it isn't

On completion of the course you will be able to;

1. Differentiate a myofascial injury to a neurogenic posterior thigh pain

2. Describe the risk factors for hamstring injuries

3. Put together a specific and individualised plan of treatment for a posterior thigh pain patient

4. Manage a targeted return to play with objective outcome measures

5. Evaluate the psychological implications of injury to an athlete

6. Prepare a prevention strategy for hamstring injuries based on the latest evidence

Ulrik Sandstrøm

Ulrik Sandstrøm has worked in elite sport for over 2 decades and as 1st Team Chiropractor for Leicester Tigers Rugby Team since 2009. He worked in the London 2012 and the Rio 2016 Olympic Athletes Village Polyclinics and has worked with a large range of elite athletes from UK Athletics, Chelsea FC, England Rugby, GB Basketball, GB Swimming. He has lectured extensively on sports chiropractic, manual muscle testing and taping and is a senior lecturer for the FICS ICCSP programme. Whilst being in increasing demand as a sports chiropractor and international lecturer, he still continues in clinical practice in Sheffield and Mansfield.
