This course describes the principles of returning patients to activity, whether they’re an elite athlete, a week-end warrior or just going for a walk. Using the “PEACE & LOVE” principle it guides how to appropriately get our patients back to strength and resilience.

Course Learning Outcomes

Sports Chiropractic in Cycling

By the completion of the module, the practitioner will be able to;

1. Understand the PEACE & LOVE principle of acute injury management

2. Understand load vs overload and what role pain plays in this.

3. Focus on patient selected outcome goals for compliance with plan.

4. Describe a plan for the patient to follow to safe return to activity

Sports Chiropractor and International Lecturere

Ulrik Sandstrøm

Ulrik Sandstrøm has worked in elite sport for nearly 3 decades. He worked 11 seasons with Leicester Tigers Rugby Team and has just taken the role as 1st team chiropractor at Leicester City Football Club. He worked in the London 2012 and the Rio 2016 Olympic Athletes Village Polyclinics and has treated a large range of elite athletes from UK Athletics, Chelsea FC, England Rugby, GB Basketball and GB Swimming. He has lectured extensively on sports chiropractic, manual muscle testing and taping and also as a senior lecturer for FICS. Whilst being in increasing demand as a sports chiropractor and international lecturer, he still continues in clinical practice in Sheffield and Mansfield, UK
