Summary and Learning Outcomes

Tendinopathy management can be challenging. There seems to be endless and conflicting advice about the right exercise choice. In this module, Prof Malliaras will provide a contemporary view of the exercise evidence and guidance on designing exercise programs that maximise functional outcomes and return to activity. This will be supplemented by practical case-based examples of individualised progression of exercise and discussion of key education to deliver to optimise patient behaviour change and 'buy in'.

Learning outcomes
1 - Develop an understanding of exercise dosages that are effective in tendinopathy
2 - Plan comprehensive exercise programs that address strength, power and return to sport for people with tendinopathy
3 - Discuss strategies to measure and monitor pain and physical function during rehabilitation for this patient group
